Dedicated to my son, born in the Year of the Horse.

Pyjama Cowboy was painted as a reminder of the hopes, prayers and love I carry for my son throughout his life.

The horse represents the year he was born, but more than that, it represents the spirit I hope he carries with him - strength, freedom, courage and a sense of adventure.

At the centre of the horse’s chest is the cross of Christ. It is my prayer that, wherever life takes him and no matter how far he travels, Christ will always remain close to his heart. That he will grow with faith, compassion and a strong relationship with God, and that he will always know he is guided and loved.

And then there is the cowboy, dressed in pyjamas. A little bit playful, but deeply meaningful to me. Because no matter how tall he becomes, how old he gets, or how far he rides into the world, he will always be my little boy.
