Ocean inspired Willow Bay collaboration.

I was absolutely thrilled to team up with Willow Bay, a truly special Australian brand founded by two amazing women. Their commitment to sustainability and creativity really stood out to me. The concept behind our collaboration came from a unique situation: after receiving a bad batch of white bags from their supplier, Willow Bay decided not to discard them, but instead gave them to Australian artists like me to transform. What resulted was a collection of one-of-a-kind, wearable pieces of art.

When I got the chance to collaborate with Willow Bay, I was over the moon, especially because their ethical approach really resonated with me. When thinking about a concept for the project, the ocean was the first thing that came to mind. I’ve always had a deep connection to the sea, and ocean dumping is such a critical issue, threatening marine life to the point of extinction. I wanted to create a collection that would serve as a reminder to be kind to the oceans that surround us and the beautiful creatures that live in it.

Each bag in my collection features vibrant sea creatures, with all the colours and energy of ocean life. The response was incredible—my first release sold out in under 10 minutes! It was such a proud moment, seeing what Willow Bay and I had created come to life and resonate with so many people. It was the perfect blend of art, purpose, and love for our planet.
